This Privacy Policy describes how Foundation X LLC ("Foundation X," "we," "our," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Modified ("Service") at modified.site.

1. What we collect

Information you provide:

• Your name, email address, and phone number when you request a preview or contact us.
• The URL of the website you submit for conversion.
• The content of edit requests you submit.
• Payment information (processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers).

Information we collect automatically:

• Your IP address and browser type when you interact with the Service.
• Basic usage logs (pages visited, actions taken, errors encountered).

Content from your website: When you request a preview, we capture and store the HTML, CSS, images, and other public assets of the submitted URL. This content is stored in Amazon S3 (AWS, US regions).

2. How we use your information

• To build, host, and maintain your preview and live site.
• To send you the preview link, edit notifications, and account-related emails.
• To process and apply edit requests (including routing requests to AI via Amazon Bedrock).
• To respond to support inquiries and takedown requests.
• To monitor for abuse and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To send you product updates and announcements (you may opt out at any time by replying "unsubscribe").

3. AI processing (Amazon Bedrock)

Edit requests and relevant website content are sent to Amazon Bedrock (an AWS service) to generate proposed edits. AWS processes this data under AWS's standard service terms. We do not use your data to train AI models; AWS Bedrock does not use customer input/output data to train foundation models by default.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• AWS - for hosting (S3, CloudFront, Lambda, DynamoDB) and AI processing (Bedrock).
• Payment providers - to process billing (when applicable).
• AWS SES - to send transactional emails.
• Law enforcement or legal process - if required by law or court order.

5. Data retention

• Preview data (HTML, CSS, images): retained while your account is active and for 90 days after cancellation or preview expiration, then deleted.
• Edit request records: retained for 2 years for troubleshooting and audit purposes.
• Email and contact information: retained while your account is active and for 1 year after.

6. Cookies

The Service website uses minimal cookies for session state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@foundationx.com. We will respond within 30 days.

GDPR (EU/UK residents): Our lawful basis for processing is contract performance and legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security). You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

CCPA (California residents): We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what data we hold and to request deletion.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (S3 server-side encryption, AES-256), and access controls on all systems. No system is 100% secure; if you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@foundationx.com.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will notify active users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect.
